Columbus Blue Jackets

Seriously, the Columbus Blue Jackets let it happen again. How many times

can a team blow a lead in the third period during a hockey season?
Apparently, that number is at least seven. However, Howson does not believe that the presence behind the Blue Jackets'bench is the issue for the team's 9-22-5 record and last place in the
league. "Changing the coach is not always the answer," he added, From talking to some people that know the owners it is obvious they have no idea how to run a hockey team,Howson and the coach need to be fiired..

Bluejackets loss to Nashville

The loss in Nashville was the final straw, as far as I'm concerned. The team blew 2 3-goal leads and lost in the last 8 seconds of the game. From McConnell, to Howson, to Arniel and to Nash - It's time to pull up the stakes, lower the tent and take the joke to another city. This team has give the rest of the NHL something to laugh harder at, and brings nothing but shame to hockey fans in Columbus. The money spent on season tickets is a waste I doubt I will be renewing next year. McConnell hasn't done nothing to do anything for this team, it makes it clear that even the "top" doesn't care about this franchise. The owners have no idea how to run a NHL team How can they not fire Howson and the coach what a disaster to Columbus,
Gotta see it "live"? You can't, when the team and organization is dead. Howson is a joke!

Derick Brassard

Fed up with BJs head coach Scott Arniel making him a healthy scratch, Brassard’s agent, Allan Walsh, took to Twitter to air his grievances on Dec. 1:
While I have tremendous respect for Scott Howson and the rest of Columbus’ management team, the situation regarding Derick Brassard has become untenable. This coach has a history of burying players and using them as scapegoats to mask his own lack of success on the ice. Derick has been singled out, almost from the very beginning of the season to be the fall guy in case things don’t go well.
The Columbus organization cares about Derick and has been good to him, but at some point enough is enough. The coach and the GM need to go!

Ken Hitchcock

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Sunday night the club has relieved Davis Payne as Head Coach and replaced him with Ken Hitchcock. Hitchcock will be the 24th Head Coach in franchise history and has agreed to a contract through the 2012-13 season. The team will hold their first practice under Hitchcock at 1 p.m. Monday. They have 12 points and Jackets have 5 something is sure wrong with the management of the Jackets Howson needs to go ..

Matt Calvert Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Matt Calvert from their
American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass., and have assigned
left wing Maksim Mayorov and defenseman David Savard to the Springfield
Falcons. This fan does not know why they sent him down he has more grit then the players they brought up.

Red Wings

Facing the Blue Jackets tonight could be a blessing or a

trap — depending on your way of thinking. While the Red Wings remain
unbeaten in four games (4-0), the Blue Jackets are the lone team in the NHL
without a victory (0-5-1). The Columbus Blue Jackets have added goaltender Allen
York to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League
affiliate in Springfield, Mass. General manager Scott Howson announced the
move on Thursday.Go Jackets

8700 fans at Nationwide Arena

Get rid of Mason and Arniel !!!! The Jackets have the talent, but because of the poor coaching they have looked so unorganized while on the ice. There are 2 things lacking with the Jackets...1) a big name goalie, and 2) a coach with a proven history of winning games. 8700 fans at Nationwide Arena...pathetic !!!! The Jackets need to make some big moves before the season gets too far out of hand !!!!!!The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Cam Atkinson(notes) to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.General manager Scott Howson announced the move on Thursday.
The 22-year-old Atkinson has appeared in four games with the Blue Jackets this season and scored his first NHL goal against Vancouver on Monday. He made his NHL debut with the club Oct. 7 against Nashville. He appeared in five games with Springfield at the end of the 2010-11 season and had three goals and two assists. He was Columbus’ eighth pick, 157th overall, in the 2008 draft.

Rick Nash

I feel sorry for Rick he tries so hard and no one else can help.Carter is ok but the nasher is all by himself. The power play is totally disorganized and looks terrible. The other lines are the same with little help in the scoring department. The fans last night were there in spirit but a very small croud most of the blue seats in the lower bowl were empty "so sad".

Lots of people are pushing panic buttons over the Capitals, but you don't win overnight," said Chimera. "There are learning curves with our kids, but these guys are getting older with more experience. "We probably have the most skill of any team I've been on, but guys know now that skill doesn't always win you games in the playoffs," said Chimera, 32, who was traded to the Capitals by the Columbus Blue Jackets for winger Chris Clark three months into the 2009-10 NHL season.
Chimera, who's in Edmonton this week participating in Perry Pearn's three versus three hockey camp at the Knights of Columbus Twin Arenas, is firmly entrenched as one of Washington's solid role players, on a team loaded with stars. Besides Ovechkin and Green, Washington has centre Nicklas Backstrom and winger Alex Semin in its arsenal.  IMO another stupid trade by Howson!!!

Staph infection mrsa ice hockey

You should not be sharing towels, clothing or anything someone else has used without washing the item first. All the contact sports will have a higher possibility of contracting mrsa. Ice hockey is especially high on the list because of the equipment. You must not share shin pads or equipment that has not been cleaned this is a big mistake. Your chances of catching a staph infection from a open cut or sore on your skin is very high. Football and lacrosse players can also catch staph infections. People that are into wrestling make sure the school uses an antimicrobial agents to clean the wrestling mats.

You need to clean your equipment at least once a month to reduce the chances of getting a stapf infection. Staph can be found in body fluids, blood, sweat, and can hide in your sports gear that come into contact with your skin. Weight lifters you need to wipe down the benches and weight equipment with a antimicrobial cloth most gyms will provide these.

Muscle soreness from hockey

Overtraining is the term used to describe a decline in physical performance in healthy individuals participating in high endurance sports and physical activities. The term chronic fatigue, staleness and burn our are terms used to describe this kind of condition. When you over train you fatigue d require more time to recover from the activity. Overtraining is brought on inadequate rest sessions in-between exercise sessions and not enough fluid and diet intake. You can get back to peak performance by tapering the training program for a period of time and the volume and frequency of the work out.

Columbus Blue Jackets Trades

Dekanich's anonymity coupled with Mason's troubles the past two seasons is

likely to worry Jackets fans. But Howson said he talked with American
Hockey League sources who had the 6-foot-2, 191-pound goalie.
Columbus Blue Jackets
defenseman Jan Hejda, of the Czech Republic, skates during an NHL hockey
game against the Phoenix Coyotes in Glendale, Ariz. I will never understand The trades Howson makes neither can any of the jacket fans I know.

Jeff Carter Bluejacket

“The Columbus Blue Jackets are very pleased and excited to acquire Jeff

Carter,” said Howson. “Jeff is a proven number one center in the
National Hockey League and we look forward to him having many productive
seasons Yesterday saw  a flurry of activity from the Philadelphia Flyers, as they dealt Mike
Richards to the LA Kings and Jeff Carter to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Claude Noel, the former coach of the National Hockey
League's Columbus Blue Jackets, was on Friday named as coach of the
relocated NHL club in Winnipeg that does not yet have a nickname.

Boston wins Cup

Boston takes first Stanley Cup in 39 years Tim Thomas is flawless in goal and the Boston Bruins are champions of the NHL. Great to watch the series,I felt bad for Mani and Rafi since they were really good players for the Jackets but of course Howson traded them.

Don Boyd fired

Less than three weeks before the NHL entry draft, and

four weeks before the dawn of free agency, the Blue Jackets have fired
their amateur scouting guru and their director of pro scouting. Don Boyd,
who oversaw hockey operations. Blue Jackets have hired Ian Clark as
their new goaltending coach, the man charged with rediscovering the "Mase"
in Steve Mason. Clark, who replaces Dave Rook, will be the franchise's
first full-time coach.

Raffi Torres

Raffi Torres scores with 18 seconds to go. Vancouver wins  And yet another player that Howson traded away.

Manny Malhotra

Questions continue to surround the status of Vancouver Canucks center Manny Malhotra for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. The center was not at practice on Tuesday. According to the team, he was at a doctor's appointment.  Last Saturday, Canucks coach Alain Vigneault told the media, "Manny has been officially cleared to play." However, on Tuesday GM Mike Gillis was singing a different tune.
"This has been a day-to-day thing all along," Gillis said. "He hasn't been cleared to play yet, he's been cleared for some contact, and he gets monitored every day." Many believed with Vigneault's announcement over the weekend that Malhotra would be in the lineup for Game 1; however, now it's looking more like a fourth line of Jeff Tambellini, Alexandre Bolduc and Victor Oreskovich will go Wednesday night at Rogers Arena. Malhotra has been out of action since March 16 when he was struck in the eye by a deflected puck. He underwent two separate surgeries on the eye and has one more to go, which will happen in the offseason. The 31-year-old Mississauga native had 11 goals and 30 points in 72 games while leading all Canucks centers with 61.7 percent in the faceoff circle.
Another great player Howson traded away.

Bob Boughner

Bob Boughner has decided to step down from his position of Columbus assistant coach. He will return his focus to the junior team he owns and operates- the Windsor Spitfires. It was well known that it was a balancing act for Boughner, trying to focus on his duties with both the Spits and Blue Jackets.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Columbus Blue Jackets entered the NHL in 2000. Since then, they have

gone through seven different coaches. The greatest out of the seven is Ken
Hitchcock. Hitchcock coached Columbus from 2006 to 2010.More recently, the Blue Jackets have reportedly expressed a desire to switch to the East. If only one of those teams can go, seems like an easy
call, right? I think it would be much better for the team but first they need new management.

Howson Gm of the Jackets needs to go

The vibes of playoff hockey had come a few months early for the Blue Jackets and it was a beautiful sight to see. Now that the Jackets defined  themselves as buyers at the trade deadline, they looked to find the missing pieces they needed to make their team a winner. To do that Howson needs to go look at all the terrible trades he has made, the worst one was the Chimmer trade.Look at how many players are in the play offs that were traded away.

Kris Russell fracture his left ankle

The Blue Jackets were shut out for the fourth time in their last 11 games Tuesday, a 3-0 loss in Dallas. They've scored just 41 goals in 20 games since Feb. 25, going 3-10-7 in that stretch.

The Blue Jackets have scored just 41 power play goals this season, tied for 28th in the NHL. Unless they score a goal with the man advantage in the last two games, they'll match a franchise record for fewest power play goals in a season. Oddly, it was set during the 2008-09 season, the only season the Blue Jackets made the playoffs."I knew right away, just from the way that he reacted. I knew it was bad."
Blue Jackets goaltender Mathieu Garon, after witnessing Kris Russell fracture his left ankle in Tuesday's game vs. Dallas.

Comprehensive hockey training program

The most comprehensive hockey training program ever developed being used by pro players today. Over 100 videos clearly demonstrate every exercise which allow the highest level of strength and power development.'Chris Collins training has helped me excel to become a high level athlete. Throughout my long grueling season, my conditioning and strength training from the summer has kept me performing at a high level and prevented any injuries. I found that Chris's training was very personalized and helped me improve my weaknesses while still excelling my strong points. He really understood my body and the things I needed to work on, while keeping me comfortable and confident in all the movements and exercises. His training program really stands out from other training programs I have tried. This was by far the most effective and efficient training program to help me become the best I can be as a player.'In other words you get everything you need to become the fastest hockey player you can possibly be. You get the exact program being used by NHL pros today.
But I'm always working to improve the product I give my hockey players to use. And what that means is that I'm constantly creating additional workouts, strategies and reports for them to gain another step on the competition.

Derek Dorsett

Seven points out of the playoffs is not the time to go on a losing streak,

but the Columbus Blue Jackets did just that. Losses to Edmonton don't bode
well for a squad trying to make the playoffs.Edmonton Oilers rookie left wing Taylor Hall is out for the season after
suffering a high ankle sprain during his first fight in the NHL While
scrapping on Friday with Derek Dorsett of the Columbus Blue Jackets
