Nick Foligno

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed left wing Nick Foligno to a three-year, $9.15 million contract, club Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Foligno, who was a restricted free agent, will earn $2.5 million in 2012-13, $3 million in 2013-14 and $3.75 in 2014-15.
Foligno (pronounced foh-LEE-noh) was acquired by the Blue Jackets from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for defenseman Marc Methot on July 1. He has registered 61 goals and 87 assists for 148 points with 299 penalty minutes in 351 career NHL games with the Senators. In 2011-12, he set career highs in assists, points and penalty minutes as he tallied 15-32-47 with 124 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 82 games. He added 1-3-4 and eight penalty minutes in seven games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
